My name is Jim Perez. I grew up in East Los Angeles, attended Salesian High School, UC Berkeley and have a Bachelor Degree in Liberal Studies with Multiple Crdentials from Cal State Los Angeles.

In 1984, at age 14, my father died of a heart attack, he was 53. This tragic experiece changed my life. Being the youngest of five brothers, I knew that i had to make sure that our family values remained stable and strong. Though this experience was heartbreaking, it structured me and taught me the value of hard work and the appreciation of people.

After College, I became a Part Time Math Teacher for 4th and 5th graders. I will return to this profession after my carrer at UPS.

UPS- this is my 32th year. Having both Operational and Administrative roles, my main responsibility has been to uphold the reputation and brand of our company. I can honestly say, that my early age work ethic has help me excel in my daily responsibilities.

In 2007, my life change again. I married to my best friend, Carmen. We enjoy traveling, taking short trips, long walks and spending time with our beautiful daughter, Mandy.
