Karen Vejar

Karen Vejar is first year board officer with the OCHYCC Board and will be serving as a Community Outreach Co-Director. She is a third year student at the University of California- Irvine and is majoring in International Studies. Karen has a desire to work with diverse cultures and is taking Arabic classes in hopes of being able to study abroad in a Middle Eastern country to enhance her comprehension of the language and culture. Karen’s future aspirations are to own her own international business. She is looking forward to being able to inform more students about the resources that OCHYCC has to offer.

Tony Torres

Antonio (Tony) Torres Jr. is a first year board officer with the OCHYCC Board and serves in a joint role as Vice President and Treasurer. Tony began his educational journey at Riverside City College and he co-founded a student organization called “ Transfer Readiness Awareness Club”. Tony is a Senior (4th year student) at California State University, Fullerton and is majoring in Business Finance and minoring in Communication studies. He hopes to become a financial analyst for an international company. This past year, Tony was Vice President for the Latino Business Student Association. In fall of 2012, he was inducted into the Phi Beta Delta International Honors Society at CSUF for maintaining a high G.P.A., and for successfully completing a summer business study abroad program in Aix-en-Provence, France. This past summer, Tony participated in the California Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Annual Convention’s Creating a Path to Success Program (C.A.P.S.). Today, he continues to support transfer students endeavors by mentoring them to get into their desired universities. Through OCHYCC, Tony hopes to leverage valuable resources to help students develop professionally and personally, all while expressing the importance of education and giving back to the community.

Vincent Sanchez

Vincent Sanchez is a first year board officer with the OCHYCC Board and serves as a Community Outreach Co-Director. He is currently studying Political Science at the University of California, Irvine and is expected to graduate in June 2014. Vincent wants to reach out to the community to teach others about career and professional development opportunities. Vincent is also an active member of UC Irvine’s Latino Business Student Association and Latino Pre-Law Society. In the future, he hopes to attend law school so that he can service the community.

Diana Munoz

Diana Muñoz is a first year board officer with the Orange County Hispanic Youth Chamber of Commerce and serves as the Secretary. She is currently a second year student at California State University Fullerton, where she is pursuing a Bachelors in Business Administration with an emphasis in Entertainment and Tourism Management. Diana is also a Freshman Programs Peer Mentor, as well as a member of Ballet Folklorico de CSUF and Links Mentoring Program. She is an active member of the Latino Business Student Association (LBSA)and serves as the Business Research Intern for the Orange County/ Inland Empire Small Business Development Center Network since June 2013. Diana earned merit based scholarships including Future Scholars & TELACU. She looks forward to fulfilling the role of Secretary and hopes to inspire other students to achieve their dreams.

Margaret Rosales

Margaret Rosales has served on the Orange County Hispanic Youth Chamber Board since 2012. She was the Community Outreach Director and this year will be our Board President. Margaret will complete her undergraduate studies in Psychology (minor in Criminal Justice) at California State University, Fullerton in Spring 2014. In 2012, she was awarded the Orange County Hispanic Youth Chamber of Commerce Award for Community Service. In 2013, she was the recipient of a Hispanic Scholarship Fund Scholarship and the OCHYCC Scholarship. In the summer of 2013, Margaret completed the UC Berkeley’s HAAS School of Business accelerated business program. In addition to volunteering with the Youth Chamber, Margaret has volunteered with the Volunteers in Probation, the Prison Education Project, and Aids Services Foundation. After graduation, she plans to pursue post graduate studies in Forensic Psychology to develop innovative programs for at-risk youth within the Criminal Justice system. As President, Margaret looks forward to developing strategies to further promote the growth and advancement of the Youth Chamber while making a positive impact in the community

Oriana Hernandez

Oriana Hernandez is a first year board officer with the OCHYCC and will serve as our Marketing Director. She completed her AA in Business from Santa Ana College and will be transferring to California State University, Fullerton this upcoming fall and will be majoring in Marketing. Oriana works for Chase Bank as a Teller. As a OCHYCC board member , Oriana hopes to motivate the youth to become more involved in their communities as well as their own professional futures.
